I am a Research Scientist at Facebook. I design and implement the Facebook network infrastructures. My work involves network architecture design, routing, SDN control systems, network measurements, and network management in diverse network environments, including edge, data center, and backbone networks.
I received my PhD degree from Computer Science Department of Rice University in 2018. My research was on building novel networked systems using physical-layer programmability to enable faster transmission, better fault tolerance, and easier management. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering with First Class Honors from a joint program between Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in 2011.
I grew up in the city of Shenyang (formerly known as Mukden), China. I miss the “real” winter in my home city when the temperature drops to -30 degrees Celsius. I am proud of the unique northeastern Chinese culture and always enjoy the stew-featuring local cuisine.
